I was thrilled to learn that one of my poems, "Keepsake," was selected by Maria Shriver and the editors of O Magazine to be featured on Oprah's website.

This is such phenomenal news, Laura. I've always known what a magical poet you are, but now so many more people will be able to enjoy your work. Congratulations!

What an incredible poem. No wonder it was selected as the very first poem on Oprah's website out of 1000s. I love that:

It is always raining
in the hours before the sun,
when leaves boil on blacktop
and cats bolt across the road
like phantom runners.

It is so mystical, so beautiful.
