Latest books: Castro's Curveball by Tim Wendell, The Dirt by Nance VanWinckel, Haunts by Laura Cherry, and Mercurochrome by Wanda Coleman.
Fascinating titles, Gerry. I had to look up Mercurochrome on Amazon, and its description goes perfectly with the title: "Wanda Coleman's poetry stings, stains, and ultimately helps heal wounds like the old-fashioned Mercurochrome of her title."
Thanks to my friend Sherrell Wigal, I bought and am halfway through When Women Were Birds by Terry Tempest Williams. It's a great comfort right now.
I'm sad to report I haven't read a book on my Kindle yet, but I have downloaded some free copies of classics and plan on reading The Old Curiosity Shop by Dickens next.

Ill bet you can guess my latest purchase...Marie Manilla's novel, Sharpnel was the last print book I bought. The lasted ok was The Buddha in the Attic. I heard the author read from it at the Decatur Book Festival. Written in the first person PLURAL, it was fascinating. Can't wait to read them both.
I bought Shrapnel by Marie Manilla at her book signing. Maybe she's lurking somewhere and will discover that some of us are talking about her.
I also purchased Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS, but I left it at the salon last week.

Night Circus by Erin Morgenstein (loaned by a friend)--strange.
Shrapnel by Marie Manilla--can't wait to read.
Rose Garden, Suanna Kearsley--supernatural romance--great descriptions of Cornwall.

Hi, Christina,
I read Night Circus a few months ago, and it gave me fits for a number of reasons.

Oh, how many books I wish I could purchase. At any rate, the last few books I've had time and money to purchase were The Crackpot Palace by Jeffrey Ford, Deathless by Catherynne Valente. The last ebook I purchased was Doctor Zhivago because I coach Academic Decathlon, so it's this year's novel. In fact all of the ebooks I've purchased in the last 2 years were for Decathlon.
Most of my reading gets done from the local library and during reading period at school or school breaks.
