* June 7-9, 2013 * Presenting two poetry workshops for WV Writers Conference at Cedar Lakes in Ripley, WV.

*June 29 * West Virginia's 150th birthday today. I'll be reading Cynthia Rylant's "When I Was Young In The Mountains" during the birthday celebration (6 to 7pm)at Pullman Square in Huntington, WV.

* June - July 2013 * I will be teaching creative writing at the West Virginia Governor's School for the Arts at Davis & Elkins College.

* July 27, 2013 * Reading and signing with Sarah Dooley, Marie Manilla, and Sheila Redling at The Red Caboose in Huntington, WV.

* November 17, 2012 * I will participate in an author signing for the new anthology FED FROM THE BLADE at Books-A-Million at the Huntington, WV Mall on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, from 2-5PM.The event will also include the official book release of Hills of Fire: Bare Knuckle Yarns of Appalachia and Fed From the Blade: Tales and Poems from the Mountains, both published by Woodland Press, LLC, an independent West Virginia book-publishing firm.

* November 13, 2012 * Guest speaker for Eliot Parker's Contemporary WV Writers class at Mountwest Community College in Huntington, WV.

* November 10, 2012 * Page-to-Stage reading/signing from Ginseng 2012 , 7 - 9pm,at the Our Town Theater in Oakland, Maryland. Local writers and others will read from the latest issue of Ginseng.
